Poem about the greyscale season

Winter brings a smile to my face
Year after year, that is the case,
Despite it being cold throughout
It is my favorite without a doubt.
There are a lot of dark and grey days
At times, the clouds let out the sun’s rays
Light on snow creates a glare
Not to forget the biting chill in the air.
Days are shorter than the nights
That doesn’t stop the snowball fights,
At the end of the day, I sit
In front of the fire and admit,
As I add another piece of wood
That a cup of hot chocolate does sound good.
Staring out through the window, I see
Snow filling my backyard up to my knee,
There is one thing I cannot escape
The ice on my car that I must scrape,
Despite it being cold throughout
It will always be my favorite without a doubt.
